THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

Rob Ayling, yer Gonzo Grande Fromage, writes:

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

 BLACK MIRROR
PERHAPS THIS STARTED WITH BLACK HOLES
Where matter went to die.Where stars burnt out.
In economics-the Black Swan Theory gave context
like Chaos Theory -that theories change with new data.
In media-Black Mirror added to the soup of technology
a dystopic vision that curdles our milk Futurism.
Black Lives Matter becomes a powerful political statement.
Black is not a color.Black Light is.To claim the color Black
is also to lay claim to all its hues,histories,cultures and Empires.
Black Hawk Down.As soon as you see the Dark Lord
you know that Star Wars will be going(like Pink Floyd)

to the Dark Side of the Moon..
