THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

PRAYERS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS

where creationism is taught like religion

and global warming denied despite data.

So it is a March for Science-for"logic over ideology"

on Earth Day(as this is our only Earth,and our tenure seems temporary..

Folk will walk along streets to draw attention to those modern Galileos

who lose their jobs in the EPA because their findings are"political".

(It seems sad when even science must be demonstrated for on streets

rather than in classrooms and field trips....Earth Day will see how far rationality

and passion can be scientifically combined.On the streets of Austin-a College Town,Capitol of Texas

and still having to deal with arguments that were resolved like the separation of Church and State..

Transgender Bathrooms,Abortion Rights and Stem Cells Research..Who will walk ?

Who will talk about these issues without their Right To Carry(New Ideas..?
