Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! but it tries to be,stealing songs from recalcitrant songwriters, 

heat seeking donations from Hollywood hacks, 

and pushing up ratings on networks otherwise showing Olympics..

Weimer Republic had outbursts of opera,film,poetry and plays

before fascism brought labor camps and Volkswagon. 

Trillions for weapons-none for poetry.

By the time we learn the con,another savior will be on TV

promising walls,wars ,weapons-to make us feel so STRONG>
