THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

Rob Ayling, yer Gonzo Grande Fromage, writes: 

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"
RECENTLY (IN MY BIRTHING SEASON -
I HAVE BEEN CONTACTED BY MY ELDERS)
who share their joy when each day dawns
and endless pleasure to make it to night
They assure me they are ready for sudden endings
"Everything up to now has been a gift-
the rest is gravy!"Now i know them
as creatures of joy and laughter.
One says he trusts he is watching his beloved baseball 
when that final heartbeat leaves.Another wants
to walk along her beach ,and let wind and waves take her away
Both are barely ambulatory.All they have made on this earth
has lifted others into happiness.They are of good spirit,

content with passages and sudden endings of stories like these.
