On Feb. 6, acclaimed rock starEric Burdon, from The Animals, performed a headlining show atThe Paramount in Huntington, where he shared the stage with his opener Randy Jackson of Zebra. His show included his older hits, as well as songs from his latest studio effort "Til Your River Runs Dry."
Burdon commenced his set with "Spill The Wine" and he continued with "Don't Bring Me Down" and "When I Was Young." He was able to command the stage well from the very first note and the audience was in awe of his iconic status. He had the crowd singing along with him on "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" and "I Believe To My Soul" had a soulful vibe to it. Burdon's newer songs included "Before You Accuse Me" and the nostalgic "27 Forever."
He stole the show with his memorable version of his No. 1 hit single "The House of the Rising Sun," and it was well-received by The Paramount crowd. Burdon closed with "We've Gotta Get Out of This Place" and returned for an encore which featured a cover of The Animals' "It's My Life."
