THE BYRDS: "Behind the Guitar" to premiere on PBS39



The locally produced "Behind the Guitar" will premiere at 11 p.m. Sept. 19 with epsiodes featuring nationally know musicians Roger McGuinn and Laurence Juber.


“Behind the Guitar,” is an an original music series featuring interview and acoustic performances that is hosted by Lehigh Valley singer-songwriter Craig Thatcher.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Roger McGuinn who is a founding member and was lead guitarist/vocalist of The Byrds will be featured in a two-part interview with Thatcher in the first two epsiodes Sept. 19 and 26.




"I am very excited to be part of these wonderful, intimate and revealing PBS39 shows, featuring many well-known artists some of whom have played major roles in the origins of country rock, folk and acoustic blues," says Thatcher. "For those of us growing up in the 60s, some of our guests actually created and contributed in a major way to the music that has become the soundtrack of our
early lives."
