I WANT THE OTHER THING!
that squeaks and squawks and has big wings
that
will not be made silent or live in small rooms
that
sings outside cages,where fat are fed and content
but
never happy/and they wish to be freed
yet
still believe someone else will save them.

world's wounds are scars-deep as fracking
hated
like forests,cleared for mining

we can love again-and see
everything
as extension,reflection,consequence

may gain humility -and offer respect
