In Rick’s first of three shows he will be performing a very intimate set entitled: “Wakeman with Wakeman with Wakeman and Wakeman“.

The intriguing title reveals a special occasion for Rick as he will be performing with two of his sons, Adam and Oliver and with his daughter Jemma. Fans will need to be quick to grab their seats for this keyboard and guitar extravaganza because there are only 250 tickets available to buy for each performance on June 15th 2013, one at 6pm and the other at 8:45pm.

This will be an unmissable opportunity for Rick Wakeman fans to get up close and personal in a special experience being performed at the ancient and atmospheric Blackfriars Abbey, a gem of a medieval building located in the heart of the City of Gloucester, in England.

For his second and third shows Rick Wakeman moves across from Gloucester to the regency town of Cheltenham where he has assembled a full symphony orchestra, conductor, his band the English Rock Ensemble, and choir, to perform a unique personal selection of pieces simply entitled: “The Rick Wakeman Ultimate Experience“.

This stunning new programme has been especially compiled and rehearsed for Cheltenham and will feature more than 90 artists on stage together performing unique selections of music from Wakeman’s three most famous albums: “The Myths and Legends of King Arthur“, ” Journey to the Centre of the Earth” and “The Six Wives of Henry VIII“… this is certainly a don’t miss opportunity for Rick Wakeman and Prog and Rock fans alike.

Rick Wakeman is renowned for being a consummate entertainer who is at his absolute best when performing for a live audience and he is also promising some extra surprises in a 2 hour long programme that will be enjoyed on the nights and remembered by those experiencing it for many years to come.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
