Personal Message From Annie Haslam

I was as shocked as anyone else when I read this letter from Annie on the Renaissance blog this morning. I only interviewed her a few weeks ago, and was captivated by her personality and sense of humour. I hope you feel better soon my dear, and I look forward to being able to post some more positive news very soon.

Love and Light to you Annie
Jon and everyone on the Gonzo Team

Dear Friends
Annie Haslam & Michael Dunford 2012It breaks my heart that I have had to postpone the first two weeks of our very special tour.
I was hoping and praying that I would be OK. I had been working, finishing off the new album despite the pain in my back, but it became so extreme I knew I had to finally seek immediate medical attention.
After going to a Physiotherapist, Chiropractor, then X-Rays, MRI’s, Cat scans and narrowly missing having to undergo spinal surgery, a decision had to be made, and it was very difficult for me.
I have never felt such heavy disappointment and sadness knowing so many of you were so excited to see the band again. I am not allowed to go anywhere for 2-3 weeks, and will be in a back brace that I will basically need to wear 24 hours a day for 2-3 months.
We certainly will do all we can to make it up to you and come to play for you as soon as I am fully recovered. We are aiming for Spring 2013. I am so thankful that I will be allowed to make the short trips to the last grouping of dates in the New Jersey/New York/Philadelphia areas, take off my back brace and perform!
We are certainly not an ordinary band, either by our music or the way we are blessed by people like you that have regrouped like us, and helped us on our new journey and new album.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart and look forward to seeing you all very soon.
Love and Light
Annie x

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
