MICHAEL DES BARRES: A taster for an exciting new interview

His new album "Carnaby Street" is a brilliant collection of no-nonsense blues based rock that was recorded in the "one take" manner of "that whole movement...Otis Redding, Steve Cropper and Duck Dunn...God bless his soul. Stripped down music. That is what I really loved." More from the conversation with Des Barres later this week--he shared his thoughts about getting the call to sing for the Power Station at Live-Aid ("a week later I'm backstage with Ozzy telling me about a new restaurant whileTina Turner was writing song lyrics on her hand"), recording with Jimmy Page, the state of today's music and his progression from rock and roll bad boy to vegetarian health fanatic "obsessed with broccoli, not Aleister Crowley."
