LINK: Spanish review of new Rick Wakeman album

In The Nick Of Time (Rick Wakeman)
(2012, Gonzo Multimedia)

Seven subjects with three over 10 minutes and two to catch up with this brand and four instrumentals. The statistics do not lie: this is pure rock progressive. Rick Wakeman is a well known musician. He played with Cat Stevens , Marc Bolan and David Bowie .Was the Yes , having abandoned the mythical group in 2004 to devote himself to his solo career and collaborate with Jon Anderson. Solo career that sign had already begun in 1973 with the album The Six Wives Of Henry The VIII . Regardless of thecurriculum and history of the British musician, the truth is that Via Nocturna never leaned a lot about his career in his own name. Now comes on our desk the latest work of Mr. Wakeman, a live album, file, written in 2003 during the tour to promote his album Out There . It's weird having spent nine years since its writing to its editor, but that is like saying that thankfully did not continue in the archives.Together with his The New English Rock Ensemble , Rick Wakeman shows how to make a prog rock crossed with high-class symphonic and psychedelic elements which, of course, the highlight is provided by their keyboards and synthesizers, but where there is room for other elements showcase their talents. And where also no shortage of space to explore and present some of his best themes even if minimally noting the amount of years that have passed. So, fans of rock and progressive General Rick Wakeman in particular should acquire compulsorily, this gem called In The Nick Of Time . The rest who do not know your work here have an excellent opportunity to learn from him. Summer is well worth it!

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
